#Indian #Women Protesting #GangRape Attacked With Tear Gas, Batons and Water Cannon: Sign Petition to the Prime Minister

December 22, 2012

2012-12-22T140013Z_1_CDEE8BL12WH00_RTROPTP_2_INDIA-PROTESTS  December 22, 2012

On December 16, 2012  a 23-year old woman, in New Delhi, on her way home with her boyfriend after seeing a film,  was brutally gang-raped and beaten with an iron rod by 7 men on the bus they had boarded.   The boyfriend too had been beaten unconscious, and both were thrown out of the bus.  As she lay in the hospital, undergoing numerous surgeries, during which all her intestines had to be removed, the government of India had nothing to say! On Dec 29, after fighting for almost 2 weeks for her life, the young woman succumbed to her injuries.

This form of brutalization and systemic violence on girls and women has become a daily norm in India, which unaddressed and unchecked by the government and system of law and order has reached epidemic proportions.  See our log on news reports here.  Also see this video which explains how the violence on women is of a genocidal scale.

The Dec 16 gang-rape however was the  breaking point! It resulted in an outpouring of anger as women and girls flooded the streets of the nation’s capitol demanding action, demanding the government take responsibility for the lack of law, order, and justice that has resulted in this system of violence on women.  Over the week, the protests intensified.

Then on Saturday, December 22, the government of India decided that if the women were not going to break up their protests and return to their homes, the government would force them to do so using whatever means.   The women, protesting peacefully, using nothing more than their voices, lit candles, and placards, were attacked by the police forces using water canons, batons and tear gas!

SUPPORT THE WOMEN OF INDIA IN OUR DEMANDS TO THE PRIME MINISTER

Marriage is an agreement between 2 people to Love and respect each other. In no way is rape acceptable in marriage or out. It’s aggravated assault and should have consequences for the man who commits this outrageous act. Women are children of God and demand respect, especially for their bodies, which aren’t public property.

I immensely support this cause. Women protection from being molested and raped is really hurting the sentiments of human values, morals & ethics which should be sided by the government by taking big step forward in any way possible.

Last I wanted to add line in DEMAND:

Mr. Prime Minister if you can’t protect the people this shows deterrence of leadership and if you are brave enough please resign and give other people likewise Modi to lead this country to prosperity and development and our simple example is GUJARAT.
More important this is not in support of BJP of any other political party.

Don’t Indians who support violence against females, hatred of girl children, shunning of families with “too many” girls, etc. know that they are supporting genocide against their own people? They have literally become the enemies of their own ethnic group, their own people. Oh well, the devil is such a deceiver, and he hates the females most of all. You can tell how severely Satan has infiltrated a culture by how badly they treat women, children, and Jews. Not many Jews in India. Lots of women and children.

Disrespecting women in India by murdering them, forcing women to have abortions + killing young girls born is disgusting!!! All you crazy men that think that this right should just know one thing: all these bad deeds that you are committing against women will come back to you. A man’s sexual chromosomes determine the gender of a child ie. no part of a woman’s body goes towards determining whether a child is male or female. Thank-you!!!

I had my own disturbing incident while demonstrating on this issue in my home town in the USA. while I was at the only pedestrian mall in town some guy approached me. when I told him what I was doing he started yelling and cursing at me because he didn’t believe a “white American guy” had any right to tell “brown people” how to treat “their women” and that i should “help fix an f-ing problem you damn white people caused!” lucky for me one of his friends showed up and convinced him to leave before he hit me. I’m vary surprised that he didnt swing at me because he clearly wanted to badly. if he had i defnately would have pressed charges against him. for the record he wasn’t even Indian if i had to guess i would say he was Egyptian.
