This video was put out by a public interest group to raise people’s sensitivity to rape and other crimes against women in India. Please note that the sounds of a woman being assaulted inside the van below are an enactment. However, the responses of the people who walk past the van are real.

THE 50 MILLION MISSING CAMPAIGN BLOG ON INDIA'S FEMALE GENDERCIDE 
So, there is hope for Indian women – and hope for India’s men as well. I cried when the men stepped forward to help. So sad that heroic people like these are in the minority when it comes to violence against women 😦
What a very good idea — this makes us all think. Yes, it was VERY upsetting to see so many young men walk away without trying to investigate — yet, I was amazed at the determination when those passing by instantly took action — they did not hesitate, and even a 78-year old man was willing to fight. It lets us know that the world is filled with the good and the bad, but NO ONE SHOULD EVER ignore agonizing screams… NO ONE.

This is sad, pathetically shameful that people in India that do care are the minority few. It kind of what it’s like here in the United States with few people carint about the severe rise in police violence against the people—even in killings! I respected those that intervened without thought of the risk to their own safety. Courageous and fearless in the defense of what they believed to be a defenseless victim. I applaud your work at bringing the deplorable crimes against women, even little girls, to the attention of the world’s citizens. I sincerely urge that you seek to bring all governmental officials involved in condoning such crimes to the International Courts to be tried. If found guilty be sentenced to death for treason against their country.
