people are still practicing dowry system and MRAs are still fighting against section 498A because it is being misused. What can we do?

498A is NOT being misused anywhere near the extent claimed by the MRAs.
Every thief or fraudster who is caught will of course claim in the court “I never did it. This is a mistake/false accusation”. Same with those who are caught beating/killing their wives or exhorting dowry. The difference is that the second type has a huge “support group” called “MRAs” who jump up and down, howling on top of their voice that they are all innocent & that the law is being misused blah blah.
Anyways, coming to your “what can we do?” question: From history we can see that no laws can be of much practical use to women (atleast in India), though they must remain atleast as placeholders – to proclaim that dowry/domestic violence is a crime. Women can’t entirely rely on laws, as seen from the recent past. What they need is self-respect & confidence. They must value themselves – irrespective of their education/income levels – and learn to expect to be treated as humans, and expect their husbands to respect them as givers of life & as the most wonderful creations of God, and no less. That is the first & biggest step.
