Mother and Baby Girl Burnt Alive for Dowry

Sushila Gupta who married Rakesh Gupta in 2009, often complained to her parents that her husband and in-laws were abusing her for more dowry. They wanted a motorcycle and Rs. 50,000 more.
When they didn’t get more dowry, Sushila was locked into a box with her one and half year old daughter, and the box was set on fire. To ensure they didn’t get away, her husband and in-laws also locked the door from outside. By the time the neighbors broke the door open and tried to rescue the mother and child, both had burnt to death. Report here

Men abusing women with the help of other women to abuse women in their families….for money…this is just plain old -fashioned greed! There needs to be sticker laws that are actually carried through!
This is the most horrible story I have ever heard in my life! Where is the world outrage? If the people responsible for this are not put in prison for the rest of their lives, the entire world should rise up in outrage! Yes, trembling with horror & shaking with rage … Bad enough, so horrifically awful enough to murder the mother but his own daughter … burned alive in a box … while his in-laws locked the doors from outside … Guess I know what to think of when my husband’s mom starts nagging on me – “at least you never locked the doors while I was burning in a box!”
