Bhubaneshwar, Orissa, Nov 04, 2012
Sanjay Satpathy, 33, a cricketer who has played for India’s elite cricket championship, the Ranji Trophy, has been charged with torturing his wife, Swapna, a civil engineer, for dowry.
Swapna’s mother Swarnalata Upadhyay said Sanjay and his family had been torturing Swapna for dowry ever since the couple was married in February 2011. It was an arranged marriage, she said. “Sanjay threw my daughter out of house on October 23. He forcibly took 11-month-old son with him.” Full report here

Abuse in Indian society was always on men. It is a hypocrisy that women and politicians want to grab power in punishing innocent men. Men who were abused became saints and sages. If any of you disagree I recommend to install few cameras inside Indian houses. India has the highest anti-male discrimination laws and social culture.
If you got that from reading this, then the social problem we are dealing with is worse than we thought! Oh dear!
